Smoothies – years ago they were introduced to society as a delicious and nutritious cold treat. Places like Jamba Juice and Robek’s (two of my favorites) have popped up all over the United States, offering low fat smoothies from a variety of recipes, ranging from tropical flavors to chocolate and peanut butter.
When i was 23 I began managing a low fat smoothie establishment in beautiful Irvine, California. Weighing a weak and flabby 265 pounds, I embraced my employee discount by drinking two of the delicious smoothies each day and started working out. The results spoke for themselves. I lost 50 pounds in a short time, improving my overall health, confidence, and sense of self-worth. While working out played a key role, I owe my weight loss to low fat smoothies.
While my time managing that store was short-lived, low fat smoothies have become a permanent fixture in my life. No matter what time of year, I start most morning with a delicious fruit smoothie as an easy way to get my metabolism moving. Over the years I have developed a number of low fat smoothie recipes, and am constantly coming up with new ones each day. This site is devoted to sharing a number of delicious, easy-to-make, low fat smoothie recipes as well as offering tips on blenders, supplements, and even inexpensive home fitness equipment.
